Mahajana Education Society
Mahajana Education Society is built with the assistance from the ‘Mahajana’ for serving ‘The Mahajana’. Value based education provided by our institutes makes them grow into well equipped responsible citizens of the country. A Health club and Gymnasium run by the Society also serve its students and the community around.
Journey of Mahajana
Mahajana Education Society (MES) was established in the city of Mysore in the year 1937 with the objective of developing an institution offering value and need based education to the general public. The society is one of the premier educational societies of Karnataka.
The First Principal of the college was Sri G.S. Mylari Rao, a retired professor of English, who served from 1982 to 1988. Afterwards three Principals have completed their term as successful administrative heads. In the sixties, with the leadership and liberal donation from Sri. Rattehalli Ramappa, Mahajana Pre-university College and the First Grade College were started. There were many more who donated liberally. In the eighties the institution expanded further with the leadership of Sri. R. Vasudeva Murthy and Sri. S. Govinda Raju.

The students who were educated in Mahajana have occupied highly respected positions in life. We are proud to state that Sri. B. Rachaiah, former Governor of Kerala, Sri. Tulsidas Dasappa, Sri. S.M. Krishna, former Central Ministers, Sri. N. Ramanuja, Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Karnataka, are only a few of Mahajana’s old student achievers. Excellent Support The involved students, dedicated teaching and Non-teaching staff, have served the society relentlessly. Also the parents of its students, the officials in related Government, University Offices and many well wishers have provided periodic guidance, thus helping in its growth. Mahajana Education Society have consistently stood-by, supporting its good work.
