Code of Conduct
- Students are expected to conduct themselves in an exemplary way in order to accomplish the aspirations expressed in the college mission statement.
- Students are expected to respect the members of both teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Students are expected to participate actively in all the functions organized in the college.
- Students are expected to handle college property with care. In case of any damage caused, the cost will be recovered from students collectively.
- Students are prohibited from collecting money in the campus. However, permission for mobilizing funds for social causes and charitable purpose may be considered by the merit of the proposal.
- Participation in political agitation or demonstrations or strike is strictly prohibited. Any violation in this regard will lead to rustication of students.
- Students are required to make use of the library and Sports facility during their free hours.
- Students are prohibited from bringing four-wheelers to the college. Students who bring their two-wheelers are instructed to compulsorily park them at the alloted parking areas only.
- Using mobile phone inside the college campus is prohibited. Breach of the same would attract heavy fines & confiscation of the instrument.
- Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited & punishable under Sec. 2 (29), 116 of the Karnataka Education Act, 1983. Consumption of alchohol is also punishable under Law.
Important notes
- Students are expected to come to college 5 minutes before the bell.
- Students are expected to be present in the college for the entire duration of classes. Prior permission of the Principal should be taken by the students to leave the college in between. Permission will be given only after consulting the parents.
- Free periods, if any, will be productively enagaged either in AVC or through other means. Students are expected to be seated in their respective classes till such arrangements are made.
- Students are expected to co-operate with teachers in the smooth conduct of the classes.
- Class teachers are in charge of classes and the class teacher is bestowed with the authority and responsibility of a care taker of the class.
Dress Code
All courses have a single pattern dress code with a difference in the colour of tie. This will help to bring a sense of discipline. Observing Dress Code is mandatory and part of college discipline. No student will be allowed to attend classes without proper uniform.
Students should adhere to the dress code as mentioned below:
- Uniform days - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
- On other days - Any decent looking and presentable dress-preferably formal dress
Vigilance: Attendance and Discipline
As per the rules framed by the University of Mysore, students should have a minimum of 75% attendance in each subject to qualify themselves to appear for University examination. This rule is strictly adhered to in the college.
Separate bodies headed by senior teachers monitor attendance and discipline related matters. Unauthorized absenteeism on the part of the students would disqualify them from appearing for the examination. Breach of discipline of any kind would be severely dealt with and stringent action will be initiated against such students after duly informing the parents about the same. These students will be blacklisted and would face denial of admission to next class/issue of bad conduct certificate / suspension based on degree of breach of discipline
Total co-operation of both students and their parents/guardians is sought to ensure discipline and requisite attendance on the part of the students. They are invited to join hands with the administration in promoting goodwill and the cause of higher education in the service of the society.
